The configuration-software releasing method includes the steps that an obtaining request for obtaining configuration arrangement forms of released files of a releasing server terminal is sent; the configuration arrangement forms sent by the releasing server terminal according to the obtaining request are received; according to the configuration arrangement forms and to-be-released files, updating files of the to-be-released files corresponding to the released files are determined; operation required by the releasing server terminal is determined according to the updating files, and operating lists are formed according to the required operation; the updating files and the operating lists are packaged to form a releasing packet, and the releasing packet is sent to the releasing server terminal to be released. According to the configuration-software releasing method and system, as the releasing packet contains the updating files and the operating lists and does not contain all the to-be-released files, system resources can be saved, and meanwhile the releasing speed can be increased.
