The invention discloses an improved GeoGRID routing method in a vehicle-mounted short distance communication network, comprising steps of dividing a V2X network into rectangle grids which are in head-to-end connection according to the communication range of the vehicle-mounted node, choosing forwarding nodes in the rectangle grid, adjusting the rectangle grid according to the chosen forwarding nodes, and using the regulated rectangle grid and the forwarding nodes therein to forward information, wherein the choosing method for the forwarding nodes comprises that: a source node obtains the geographic position information and the driving directions of all nodes in the communication range through the received heartbeat information of the surrounding nodes, the source nodes choose vehicle-mounted nodes which are on the same lane, in opposite drive directions and have the furthest distance as the forwarding nodes in the adjacent rectangle grids, and the rectangle network is regulated according to the chosen forwarding nodes.
