Abstract

The invention discloses a method for transmitting a file between terminal devices, a terminal device and a file transmission system. The method comprises following steps of establishing a first transmission link with a server; searching whether an objective terminal device is in own local area network or not when a to-be-transmitted file is sent to an objective terminal device; establishing a second transmission link with the objective terminal device if there is the objective terminal device; sending the to-be-transmitted file to the objective terminal device through the second transmission link; sending the to-be-transmitted file to the server through the first transmission link if there is no objective terminal device; and forwarding the to-be-transmitted file to the objective terminal device by the server through a third transmission link established between the server and the objective terminal device. Through adoption of the mode, the transmission speed of transmitting the to-be-transmitted file between the terminal devices can be improved.
