Abstract

The present invention relates to a data update method and apparatus. The method comprises obtaining data information of a basic version and data information of a client modified version obtained after data of the basic version are modified by a client; obtaining data information of a stored final version; respectively comparing the data information of the final version and the data information of the client modified version with the data information of the basic version, and obtaining comparison results; and updating the data information of the final version according to the comparison results. According to the technical scheme, when the data are modified by the client, the data are updated according to data information of the basic version on which client modification is based and the stored final version and the modified data information, the problem of data update collision due to the fact that the basic version and the final version are not the same can be effectively prevented, and the data update collision can be effectively solved.
