Abstract

The invention discloses a data copying method and device, relating to the field of computers. According to the data copying method and device, the problem that only the data with relatively high importance and the data with relatively low importance can be simultaneously copied during the data copying in the prior art is solved. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring attribute information of at least two to-be-copied data stored in a main storage device by virtue of a storage controller; determining importance rating scores of the at least two to-be-copied data according to the attribute information and a preset scoring rule; acquiring a score threshold, carrying out numeric comparison on the importance rating scores of the at least two to-be-copied data and the score threshold, so as to determine critical data and non-critical data in the at least two to-be-copied data; and preferentially copying the critical data into at least one slave storage device, and copying the non-critical data into the at least one slave storage device after the critical data is copied.
