Abstract

The invention provides a high-strength Ni-Cr corrosion-resistant wire rod for a steel stranded wire and a production method thereof. The wire rod is made from the following components in percent by weight: 0.80%-0.85% of C, 0.15%-0.35% of Si, 0.60%-0.90% of Mn, less than or equal to 0.025% of P, less than or equal to 0.015% of S, 0.20%-0.30% of Cr, 0.20%-0.30% of Ni and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurity elements. The production method comprises the following steps: pretreating molten iron, smelting in a converter, refining in an LF (Ladle Furnace), continuously casting a square blank, continuously rolling the square blank, clearing a steel blank, heating, rolling, carrying out controlled cooling, finishing, inspecting and warehousing. The wire rod and the production method provided by the invention have the advantages that the wire rod contains Cr and Ni elements, so that the strength, the plasticity and corrosion resistance of the wire rod are improved; and by virtue of a steel-making and rolling control process, the wire rod with excellent mechanical property, drawing-forming property, corrosion resistance and the like is obtained.
