Abstract

The invention discloses a texture segmentation method of a seismic section image and an apparatus thereof. The method comprises the following steps of inputting an original seismic section image; converting the seismic section image into a gray level image; using wavelet transform to carry out characteristic extraction on the gray level image; carrying out image texture edge detection on the graylevel image so as to generate a section edge image; and based on a result of the characteristic extraction and the section edge image, using a cluster algorithm to carry out texture segmentation on the seismic section image according to a texture type. By using the texture segmentation method of the seismic section image and the apparatus thereof, through results of the characteristic extraction and image edge detection, the cluster algorithm is used to realize automatic and high-efficient segmentation of a seismic section problem.
