Abstract

The invention provides a traffic warning system and method for a pedestrian crossing. The system comprises a wind power detection mechanism and spraying mechanisms which are arranged at the two sidesof the pedestrian crossing; the spraying mechanisms are connected with traffic lights, and used for forming spraying water channels in the two sides of the pedestrian crossing to stop rule-breaking pedestrians from crossing a road; the wind power detection mechanism and the traffic lights are connected with the spraying mechanisms respectively, and the spraying mechanisms adjust the volume of sprayed water according to the wind strength detected by the wind power detection mechanism. By means of the method, the spraying mechanisms are utilized to spray water to form the spraying water channels, and through the further utilization of the wind strength, the spraying height of the sprayed water is automatically adjusted in real time. According to the traffic warning system and method for thepedestrian crossing, the composition structure is simple, the passage behaviors of the pedestrians can be effectively standardized, the using efficiency of the sprayed water is improved, and inconvenience brought to the pedestrians is avoided.
