The color identification method according to one embodiment comprises the steps of generating a red-light electric signal, a green-light electricsignal and a blue-light electric signal of a to-be-identified object according to sensing ambient light and the reflected light of the to-be-identified object in the detecting light which comprise three primary colors of red, green and blue; multiplying the red-light electric signal, the green-light electric signal and the blue-light electric signal by an RGB calibration coefficient, thereby obtaining a calibrated red-light electric signal, a calibrated green-light electric signal and a calibrated blue-light electric signal; according to the calibrated red-light electric signal, the calibrated green-light electric signal and the calibrated blue-light electric signal, calculating the red light ratio, the green light ratio and the blue light ratio of the to-be-identified object; calculatingthe similarities of the red light ratio, the green light ratio and the blue light ratio of the to-be-identified object with the red light ratio, the green light ratio and the blue light ratio of eachsample color in a stored sample color set, and selecting the sample color with highest similarity as the color of the to-be-identified object.
