The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining an image of the inner surface of the bottom of the shopping cart; identifying the commodities in the shopping cart from the image to be processed; based on the identification results, determining whether commodities to be separated exist in the shopping cart; and if commodities to be separated exist, controlling at least one slider in a slider matrix set on the inner surface of the bottom of the shopping cart to move up and down to drive the commodities to be separated. According to the embodiment of the invention, the shopping cart can automatically push the commodities down through the slider matrix which can move up and down on the shopping cart, thereby the overlapped commodities are scattered. The commodities to be identified are exposed. The method facilitates achieving efficient, accurateand fast commodity identification, and can greatly improve the user experience.
