Abstract

The invention discloses an electric connector which is used for electrically connecting a chip module to a circuit board and comprises a body and a plurality of conductive terminals. The body is provided with a plurality of containing grooves for correspondingly containing the conductive terminals. Each conductive terminal comprises a base, an elastic arm, a connecting portion, an extending portion and a conducting portion, wherein the base extends upwards to form the elastic arm for abutting the chip module, the base extends upwards to form the connecting portion for connecting a strip, one side of the base is bent and extends to form the extending portion which is positioned on the lower portion of the connecting portion and does not interfere in the corresponding containing groove, andthe conducting portion is electrically connected with the circuit board. Compared with general conductive terminals, the conductive terminals have the advantages that the self-containing capacity of the conductive terminals is increased by the aid of the extending portions, so that the impedance of the conductive terminals is reduced and can be matched with that of the chip module and the circuitboard, and the high-frequency performance of the electric connector is improved.
