The method includes the following steps: acquiring the index data values of the power supply side and the load side in a power system; calculating and storing the flexibility demand evaluation indexes of the power supply side according to the index data values of the power supply side; calculating and storing the flexibility demand evaluation indexes of the load side according to the index data values of the load side; and evaluating the flexibility demand grade of the power supply side according to the flexibility demand evaluation indexes of the power supply side to obtain the flexibility demand evaluation result of the power supply side, and calculating the flexibility demand evaluation result of the load side in a similar way. According to the application, the flexibility demand of the power system is evaluated from the power supply side and the load side, and factors such as wind power output fluctuation, wind power prediction error, load output fluctuation and load prediction error are considered.
