Abstract

The invention discloses a visualization method and device for long-range projection neurons. The method comprises the following steps: splitting an artificially tracked neuron skeleton tree to obtaina plurality of sub-segment fibers; extracting a neighborhood three-dimensional image signal of the sub-segment fiber and projecting the neighborhood three-dimensional image signal; and combining the projection images of the sub-segment fibers to obtain a complete image signal of the neurons. The device comprises a first acquisition module used for acquiring a projection image of neuron sub-segmentfibers based on an artificially tracked neuron skeleton tree; and a second acquisition module which is used for combining all the neuron sub-segment fiber projection images to obtain neuron completeimage signals. According to the method, complete image information of a single neuron can be quickly extracted according to the whole cranial nerve element morphological data set and the artificiallytracked neuron skeleton file, so that a neuroscience researcher can quickly visualize original image data of the whole neuron conveniently.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of neuroscience image analysis, and more specifically relates to a visualization method and device for long-distance projection neurons. Background technique [0002] Mapping neural circuits is one of the core goals of modern neuroscience, which relies on the fine reconstruction of single neuron morphology in the whole brain and the analysis of projection patterns and synaptic connections. In recent years, the research of fluorescent sparse labeling and large-volume fine imaging technology has made it possible to obtain neuromorphic whole-brain neuron morphology datasets at submicron resolution, which provide complete morphological information of neurons. When analyzing and studying neuron morphology, projection patterns and synaptic connections, we usually need to trace the skeleton structure of neurons, and also need to extract the original image data of the traced neurons and be able to visualize them. The skeleto...
