The invention provides a magnetic head matching method and system for a Seagate hard disk, and the method comprises the steps: responding to a fault hard disk or a spare part disk, building connectionwith a computer, and activating a debugging terminal; entering a debugging mode of the faulty hard disk or the spare disk by utilizing the debugging terminal, and obtaining the number and quantity ofmagnetic heads of the faulty hard disk or the spare disk; selecting spare part disks with the same number and quantity as the magnetic heads of the faulty hard disk, and replacing the magnetic headsof the spare part disks to the faulty hard disk; reading and editing ROM information of the faulty hard disk to adapt to the magnetic heads in response to the fact that the faulty hard disk has the track-finding sound after being powered on and started and the sound duration of the track-finding sound is greater than a preset first time threshold, and establishing a data recovery task.
