The method comprises the following steps: in response to a creation request of a live streaming room, allocating a local cache to the live streaming room; synchronizing a barrage message from the cache server to a local cache corresponding to the live streaming room according to a predetermined period; in response to a barrage messageobtaining request of the client, obtaining the barrage message from the local cache and returning the barrage message to the client. When the client requests to obtain the barrage message, the networkserver does not acquire the barrage message from the cache server, but directly acquires the barrage message from the local cache instead of being directly acquired from the local cache, so the network overhead caused by connection with the cache server is reduced, the request quantity of the cache server is reduced, the response speed of a cache server interface is greatly improved, and a largenumber of online users can be supported to distribute or receive barrage message tasks.
