Embodiment Construction

[0043] In the following, methods are described in the context of NR RAT for illustrative purposes. However, they are generally applicable to other technologies. Furthermore, communication in uplink and downlink between a signaling radio node, such as a network node, and a radio node, such as a UE, is described by way of example. The method should not be construed as limited to such communications, but is also applicable to secondary link or backhaul or relay communications. For ease of reference, in some instances, reference to a channel means a signal transmission or transmission over that channel. PUSCH may represent uplink data signaling, PDSCH may represent downlink data signaling, PDCCH may represent downlink control signaling (in particular, one or more DCI messages, such as scheduling assignments or grants), and PUCCH may represent Uplink control signaling, especially signaling of UCI. A scheduling request message may in some cases be a message carrying only a schedu...

Abstract

There is disclosed a method of operating user equipment (10) in a radio access network. The user equipment (10) is configured with a reference time resource available, in one or more slots, for transmission of a scheduling request by the user equipment (10), the reference time resource comprising a reference symbol R, wherein each of the one or more slots has a slot duration that is based on a number N of symbols in the slot. The user equipment (10) further is configured with a requesting periodicity P indicating a periodicity with a time period shorter than the slot duration. The method comprises transmitting a scheduling request message at a request transmission symbol T which is based on the reference symbol R and the periodicity P. The disclosure also pertains to related methods and devices.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to wireless or telecommunication communication technologies, in particular to radio access technologies such as for mobile communication. Background technique [0002] Currently, fifth-generation radio communication technologies are being developed with the goal of serving a wide variety of use cases. Therefore, this development aims to provide a high degree of flexibility to the system, which may result in an undesired level of (control) signaling overhead. One type of control signaling relates to scheduling requests, eg if a user equipment (UE) requests transmission resources. The request itself must be sent on a resource that must be configured or otherwise indicated or reserved. Especially for low-latency applications or other applications that require a high density of resources available for such requests, the signaling overhead can be significant. Contents of the invention [0003] It is an object of the prese...
