Embodiment Construction

[0044] In the following description, for purposes of illustration and not limitation, specific details of specific embodiments of the technology are set forth. It will be understood by those skilled in the art that other embodiments may be used without these specific details. Furthermore, in some instances, detailed descriptions of well-known methods, nodes, interfaces, circuits and devices are omitted so as not to obscure the description with unnecessary detail.

[0045] References in the specification to "one embodiment," "an embodiment," "example embodiment" indicate that the described embodiments may include a particular feature, structure, or characteristic, but that each embodiment need not include the particular feature, structure, or characteristic. characteristic. Furthermore, such phrases are not necessarily referring to the same embodiment. Furthermore, when a particular feature, structure, or characteristic is described in conjunction with an embodiment, it is co...

Abstract

According to the present invention, behaviors of a base station (BS) and user equipment (UE) pertinent to reference signal (RS) transmissions are discussed. BS may configure RS corresponding to a setof antenna ports in two or more groups of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols on a short physical downlink sharing channel (sPDSCH), wherein subcarrier indices used for RS transmission are different between at least two groups of OFDM symbols. Then, BS may transmit the RS to UE. UE will receive RS and perform channel estimation based on the received RS.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates generally to the field of wireless communication technologies, and in particular to base station (BS) and user equipment (UE) behavior related to transmission of reference signals (eg, user equipment (UE) specific reference signals (UE-RS)). Background technique [0002] In the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), how to enhance the current mobile communication system to provide communication means between various machines is being discussed. A subgroup of these is critical machine type communications (CMTC), where very low latency, very high reliability, and very high availability communications requirements must be met. An example use case is as follows: [0003] - Factory automation, where actuators, sensors and control systems communicate with each other. A typical requirement is 1ms latency. [0004] -Motion control within construction robots, 1ms delay [0005] - Remote machine control, 5-100ms delay, [...
