Abstract

The invention provides a battery system protection circuit and protection method, a battery system comprises a battery pack and a load, the battery pack and the load are connected to form a main loop,when the main loop is over-current, a discharge tube is turned off, and the protection circuit detects the change rate of the current of the main loop to obtain a detection signal representing the change rate; and when the detection signal is greater than a first threshold, the turn-off rate of the discharge tube is decreased. When the main loop of the battery system is short-circuited, the induced voltage generated by the parasitic inductor can be prevented from damaging the discharge tube of the battery system.
