Abstract

The indoor unit of the air conditioner comprises a machine shell, heat exchangers and double-suction centrifugal fans, wherein the machine shell is provided with first air inlets located in two transverse end plates of the machine shell, and air supply outlets located in the positions, close to the two ends, of a front plate of the machine shell; the heat exchangers are arranged in the machine shell; and the double-suction centrifugal fans are arranged in the machine shell and are configured to promote natural air entering the machine shell from the first air inlets to flow to the heat exchangers and promote heat exchange air subjected to heat exchange through the heat exchangers to be forwards sent out from the air supply outlets. Due to the fact that the two transverse end plates of the machine shell are the panels extending in the vertical direction, the first air inlets are formed in the two transverse end plates of the machine shell, so that dust accumulated at the air inlets is reduced or avoided.
