Abstract

The invention provides a method for increasing the propagation coefficient during south propagation staggered-season generation-adding planting of Xinjiang sea island cotton. The method comprises the steps of variety selection, region and field selection, preparation before field sowing, sowing time determination, water and fertilizer operation, irrigation and drainage operation, chemical regulation and control, chemical ripening acceleration and the like. Compared with a control group, the method has the advantages as follows: the sowing quantity is averagely reduced by 56.1%, the actual harvesting yield of seed cotton is averagely increased by 51.7 kg / mu, the yield of finished product seeds is averagely increased by 43.8 kg / mu, the propagation coefficient is averagely up to 475.7, which is 3.8 times of that of the control group, the healthy grains are averagely increased by 6.4%, the germination rate is averagely increased by 6.0%, and the result shows that the seed yield of the produced seeds is increased, the propagation coefficient is ensured to reach 430-520, meanwhile, the seed quality is relatively good, so that the problem of low propagation coefficient during south propagation staggered-season generation-adding planting of the Xinjiang sea island cotton can be effectively solved, and the requirements of breeders and production can be completely met.
