The slip processing system, which processes a slip issued at merchandise sales, comprises a slip printing device 4 as a slip printing means for printing a slip under the control of a slip management server 2 by means of a slip format suitable for merchandise purchased by a customer and given slip component information added to the slip format, a receipt issuing device 5 as a slip reading means for reading in a completed slip that is the slip printed by the slip printing means and then completed with accompanying information related to the sales, to generate slip image data, and a slip management database 20 as a slip image storing means for storing and holding the slip image data generated by the slip reading means. The work efficiency of slip processing can be thus improved.
