Ecdysteroids are arthropod steroid hormones that are mainly responsible for molting, development and, to a lesser extent, reproduction; examples of ecdysteroids include ecdysone, ecdysterone, turkesterone and 2-deoxyecdysone. These compounds are synthesized in arthropods from dietary cholesterol upon metabolism by the Halloween family of cytochrome P450s. Phytoecdysteroids also appear in many plants mostly as a protection agents (toxins or antifeedants) against herbivore insects.

Cyanotis root extract rich in beta-ecdysone and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses cyanotis root extract rich in beta-ecdysone and a preparation method thereof. The cyanotis root extract comprises 50-90% of beta-ecdysone. The cyanotis root extract made from cyanotis root is prepared by water circulation extraction, centrifugal separation, resin absorption, and purification. The preparation method particularly includes: selecting annual or biennial cyanotis, removing impurities, taking dried root for grinding, adding 4-10 times of water for circulation extraction for 1.5-2.5 hours, performing centrifugal separation, applying macroporous resin absorption columns to liquor, eluting with ethanol, recycling elution crystallization, adding ethyl acetate for recrystalization, and drying to obtain cyanotis root extract. The cyanotis root extract made from annual or biennial cyanotis is rich in beta-ecdysone as raw material. The cyanotis is a biological product raw material having excellent properties, and is widely applicable to preparing and production of health-care products and pharmaceuticals. Beta-ecdysone content of the cyanotis root extract prepared by the method is increased greatly and can reach more than 90%. Biological activity of beta-ecdysone can be maintained effectively by low-temperature process control, and product quality is guaranteed.

The separation and identification method is used for clarifying main chemical components of the PDE5 for the first time, can be used for simply ad quickly obtaining the chemical components from the PDE5 through a provided method, and is used for reconstructing a quality control standard for the paris dulongensis H. Li&Kurita, the extract PDE4 of the paris dulongensis H. Li&Kurita or the total saponin PDE5 of the paris dulongensis H. Li&Kurita.
