This invention belongs to the field of microbial control technology, specifically relating to a biocontrol bacterium for soybean
root rot, a
microbial agent, its preparation method, and its application, which can improve soybean yield and
oil content. The biocontrol bacterium is *
Alcaligenes faecalis* (Factophytes).
Alcaligenes faecalis A new strain, named GY16, was deposited at the China Center for Type Culture Collection (CCTCC) on November 12, 2025, with accession number CCTCC M 20252536. This alkali-producing bacterium, GY16, exhibits a specific affinity for soybean, enabling it to colonize soybean roots and effectively control soybean
root rot. GY16 also promotes soybean
plant growth, increases soybean yield, and improves seed
oil content. Inoculants prepared using GY16 can replace pesticides, offering a green,
environmentally friendly, and
pollution-free alternative that positively contributes to building a sustainable farmland
ecosystem.
