Problems solved by technology

This solution requires the use of an additional part and in principle achieves the desired result, but has the main drawback of greatly increasing the friction due to the contact between the washer and the edge of the groove
Because of this, to the applicant's knowledge, no product has appeared that includes such a device

Embodiment Construction

[0014] Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 correspond to the prior art described in the preamble, so they will not be described in detail hereafter.

[0015] Fig. 3 shows a wrist watch by means of an embodiment, the middle part 1 of the top of the watch has a rotating case front ring 2, and the reading 20 is printed on the rotating case front ring, corresponding to numbers 1 to 1 12, and as shown in the figure, the readings are in the same direction as the time readings on the dial 3 of the analog time display sealed by the watch glass 5, which is clear and easy to read.

[0016] Figure 3 bis shows the same watch with the bezel 2 rotated in a direction indicated by the arrow which rotates the number 12 to the position where the number 5 was previously. It can be seen that all numbers are still legible in the same orientation. This effect results from an arrangement which will be described in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 4 , 5 , 6 .

Abstract

The bezel allows the same reading direction to be kept for the indications carried by a ring able to rotate freely on a base to which it is affixed to bring a selected indication opposite a determined marking of the base or of a dial. The indications are marked on the outer surface of studs each kept free in rotation about their rotational axis in a housing provided through the thickness of the ring and opening onto the base. Each stud includes in its lower part at least two stems of different dimensions, offset by the same distance from the rotational axis of the studs, and having an angular offset of less than 180 DEG , each stem being guided during rotation of the bezel by a circular groove formed in the base and having a cross-section adapted to the dimensions of each stem, a radius equal to that of the circle described by the rotational axis of the studs, the centres of each groove having, with respect to the centre of the dial, exactly the same arrangement as the stems with respect to the rotational axis of the studs.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a rotating case bezel, in particular for timepieces with mechanical or electronic components, such as wrist watches, clocks or alarm clocks. The rotating bezel is called "mysterious" because the orientation of the readings such as letters and numbers on the bezel always remains the same, i.e. no matter how much the bezel is rotated, These readings are always legible in the same orientation as the readings engraved on the dial. Background technique [0002] In all currently known wristwatches with a rotating bezel, such as diver's watches, the readings are engraved on the bezel along the radius so that only one reading points to the 12 o'clock position. may be read accurately, so there is clearly a risk that the digits 6 and 9 will be confused when selected. Figure 1 shows a watch of this type with numbers from 1 to 12 graduated on the bezel of the case. [0003] However, there is a Japanese patent application JP2599334 which...
