Abstract

The related position updating method for MS in WiMAX system comprises: MS sends the measuring distance request for updating position to the current SNS; the calling proxy on SBS sends position updating request to the Anchor PC; the latter decides whether to accept the updating request, yes to return response containing ACK message, or else returns message fro ejection. This invention makes the Anchor PC immediate notify BS to stop repeated updating operation when failing accepting the request, avoids repeated sending LU-Request primary language, and thereby reduces system loading.
