Abstract
In the embodiment, the invention discloses a method for identifying a carrying type. The carrying type of a user terminal is identified through using carrying type identification in a source network, and the carrying type identification is saved; in the process that the user terminal is switched from the source network to a target network, the carrying type identification is transmitted to the target network. The embodiment of the invention also discloses a mobile management entity and an anchor-point gateway. The technical proposal ensures that the target network can identify the carrying type, thereby determining whether default carrying exists or not; if yes, the default carrying is needed to be newly established, thereby greatly reducing the load of the target network and saving network resource; if not, the default carrying is established, and the normal switching of the user terminal is guaranteed.
