Abstract

The invention provides a method for diagnosing ovarian cancer of subjects, which comprises the steps of: detecting MMP-9 content of samples from the subjects; analyzing the MMP-9 content; and confirming whether the subjects are suffered from ovarian cancer or not according to the analysis results. The invention also provides a kit for the diagnosis of ovarian cancer.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of biomedicine. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for improving the classification accuracy of samples, and a kit for detecting MMP-9 protein in samples. Background technique [0002] Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) ranks fifth among all female cancer deaths. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2008 there will be 21,650 new cases of ovarian cancer and approximately 15,520 deaths from the disease (www.cancer.org). The high mortality rate of EOC occurs at the initial stage, as most women are diagnosed at an advanced stage (stage III / IV), and 15-20% of these patients have a 5-year survival rate (1). In comparison, the small proportion of patients who are accurately diagnosed as stage I have a 5-year survival rate of more than 90% (2). Current candidate strategies for EOC detection are based on biochemical tumor markers such as CA125 and biophysical markers obtained by ultrasou...
