Abstract

The invention discloses recognition system and method of just bundle of disks with a single-wire cascading topological structure, which are applied to a host with a plurality of controllers. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring just bundle of disks (JBOD) correspondingly connected with a current controller of the host and hardware configuration information of a hard disk on the JBOD; synchronizing the hardware configuration information to other controllers of the host; and executing a plurality of controllers of the host to recognize the same JBOD in the single-wire cascading topological structure according to the synchronized hardware configuration information. The invention can realize the same recognition of the single-wire cascading JBOD under multi-controller environment.
