The embodiment of the invention discloses front-end equipment, a video file backup method and control method, device and system thereof. The control method of video file backup comprises the following steps of: obtaining index information of a temporarily stored video file during the period of network disconnection of the front-end equipment; establishing a corresponding video backup task according to the index information; issuing the video backup task to platform storage equipment according to a preset backup strategy; and sending the temporarily stored video file during the period of network disconnection to the platform storage equipment for backup after the network of the front-end equipment returns to normality. Through the implementation of the embodiment of the invention, the video file during the period of network disconnection is automatically backuped to the platform storage equipment from the front-end equipment according to the preset backup strategy after the network returns to normality, thereby facilitating a user to operate and use.
