The method comprises the following steps of: when a calling mobile terminal carries out an encrypted call, informing an encryption identification for indicating encryption to a mobile switching center in a call establishment process; informing the encryption identification and a key subjected to encryption i.e. an encryption key to a called mobile terminal by the mobile switching center; and judging the received encryption identification by the called mobile terminal, then decrypting the encryption key, and carrying out an encrypted voice call with the calling mobile terminal. In the invention, the mobile terminals can freely select whether to encrypt the call process, and the mobile switching center encrypts the key in the process of transmitting the key, which can improve the security of the voice call between the mobile terminals; and in addition, the values of the key for encrypting and decrypting the call voice are different in different call processes, which can further improve the security of the voice call between the mobile terminals.
