Abstract

The invention provides a method, a device and a system for implementing a call hold service (CHS), belonging to the field of mobile communication. The CHS implementing method comprises the following steps of: receiving an initial address request message sent by a first mobile switching center (MSC) by a CHS implementing device, wherein the initial address request message is sent by the first MSC after a request of a first user terminal for requesting to hold on with a second user terminal; establishing a media channel with the second user terminal by the CHS implementing device through the second MSC; and before the call waiting process ends, sending a media stream to the second user terminal by the CHS implementing device by utilizing the media channel. The technical scheme can be used for playing a multimedia ring-back tone with video animations for a maintained user when a master control user holds on.
