Abstract

The invention discloses an online booking system which comprises at least one booking server, at least one webpage server, at least one set of seat information transmitting terminal and one or more computers, wherein the booking server comprises a seat information receiving terminal, a booking server side program and a database; a booking client side program in an ActiveX control format is loaded in a webpage; and the seat information transmitting terminal transmits real-time use situation of each dining table. When the website of a catering commercial tenant is visited, the booking client side program automatically runs; the seat information receiving terminal receives the information transmitted by each seat information transmitting terminal; the booking server side program and the booking client side program carry out two-way communication, and query or update records in the database; and the database records the number of each dining table, accommodating capacity, current use condition and booking condition. The invention also discloses a realization method of the online booking system. The invention is beneficial to increasing the operating efficiency of the catering commercial tenant, and network booking can be counted conveniently.
