Abstract

Disclosed is a bill processing system. The object of the invention is to provide a solution for identifying and correcting errors of containing similar characters in the character data of characters recorded in bills. In order to achieve the above object, a bill database sever (8) stores the bill image data and character data for recording characters in bills and character similar rate in a server storing part(8b) for management. When data request message is received from an operator terminal, the operator ability grade is read from operator table according to the operator ID attached to the data request message. If the ability grade is at the highest level, the data of the bill with highest rate of similar character is defined as confirmation data which is sent to the operation terminal (10); and if the ability grade is at the lowest level, the data of the bill with lowest rate of similar character is defined as confirmation data which is then sent to the operation terminal (10).
