When a distance between the interactive pointing device and the light source is less than a reference value, the processing unit controls the image capturing component to detect the light source in the first capturing range, and converts the video signal into a first coordinate data; and when the distance is greater than the reference value, the processing unit controls the image capturing component to detect the light source in the second capturing range, and converts the video signal into a second coordinate data.
