The identification method comprises the following steps: extracting volatile oil by steam distillation, analyzing chemical components of the volatile oil with GC-MS (gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy), detecting blood vessel dilating activity of the volatile oil, constructing a mathematical model between Ligusticum chuanxiong volatile oil chemical components and blood vessel dilating activity using data mining methods (LARS (least-angle regression) and LASSO (leastabsolute shrinkage and selection operator) regression algorithms), and analyzing the correlation between the components and the blood vessel dilating activity.
