Abstract

The invention discloses a method for searching a Wi-Fi hot spot through a mobile terminal and a mobile terminal. The method comprises the steps: detecting the variation of a network signal of a network of a current mobile terminal; determining whether the variation of the network signal of the mobile terminal meets a Wi-Fi scanning triggering condition of the mobile terminal; if the Wi-Fi scanning triggering condition of the mobile terminal is met, starting Wi-Fi scanning, and searching a Wi-Fi hot spot. According to the method, the variation of the network signal is served as the condition for determining whether to start Wi-Fi scanning and search the Wi-Fi hot spot, thus, the usable Wi-Fi hot spot can be timely searched, and a problem due to quick power consumption of the mobile terminal caused by frequently starting Wi-Fi hardware can be avoided.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of communication technology, in particular to a method for searching Wi-Fi hotspots and a mobile terminal. Background technique [0002] At present, mobile terminal devices (such as Smartphone, E5, etc.) generally have cellular network and Wi-Fi access technologies at the same time. Cellular networks generally refer to mobile communication technologies based on 3GPP protocols (such as GSM, WCDMA, etc.), which have the characteristics of wide coverage, support for seamless roaming, and good mobility. Wi-Fi is a wireless network access technology released based on the IEEE802.11 protocol. It has the characteristics of high transmission rate, simple network deployment, and low cost. For users, using the cellular network can obtain services anytime and anywhere, but the transmission rate is low and the tariff is relatively high; using Wi-Fi can enjoy high transmission rate and relatively low or even free tariff, but only...
