Problems solved by technology

[0006] There are no reports on extracts of the marine brown algae Laminaria coelombuca or Black kelp, although studies have been reported on terrestrial herbs and plant extracts that act as GABA A Benzodiazepines sites, resulting in GABA responding to GABA through A Activation of chloride channels through receptors allows chloride to flow into the cell and cause hyperpolarization of the membrane potential, thereby delaying neuronal activity

[0072] Examples and experiments are now described. The following examples and experiments are for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.

[0073] Test materials and test methods

[0074] (1) Separate cavity kelp extract and black kelp extract

[0075] The ethanol extract of Ecklonia cava Kjellman (ECK) was extracted with 70% ethanol at 50° C. for 3 hours. The kelp water extract was extracted with water containing enzymes (pentosan complex enzyme, alkaline protease or chymosin) at 45°C for 3 hours. Kelponia kurome Okamura, Ecklonia kurome Okamura, EKO was extracted with 80% methanol at room temperature for 24 hours. All extracts were then filtered, concentrated, lyophilized and powdered.

Abstract

Disclosed are a composition for positively allosterically modulating GABAA-benzodiazepine receptor and a composition for inducing and producing hypnosis and sedation, containing one or more extract(s) selected from a group consisting of Ecklonia cava extract and Ecklonia kurome extract. Since the Ecklonia cava extract and the Ecklonia kurome extract have affinity for the GABAA-benzodiazepine receptor, a composition containing the same as an effective ingredient provides the effect of inducing and producing hypnosis and sedation. Since substances obtained from natural products are used, the composition is safe and does not result in adverse reactions. Further, it is very useful as a functional food for inducing and producing hypnosis and sedation.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for positive allosteric regulation of GABA A - Benzodiazepines (benzodiazepine) receptor composition and a composition for inducing and producing hypnosis and sedation, both compositions containing extracts selected from the group consisting of Ecklonia cava extract and Ecklonia kurome extract one or more of the extracts. More particularly, the present invention relates to a composition for inducing and producing hypnosis and sedation containing kelp extract and extract of black kelp, said composition has an effect on GABA A - Benzodiazepines Receptors have an affinity and thus have a sedative-hypnotic effect. Background technique [0002] In modern society, many people suffer from sleep disturbances due to stress, anxiety and anxiety. According to statistics, about 15% of adults need medicine for insomnia caused by anxiety. The causes of insomnia are various, including stress, nervousness, fear, etc. For trea...
