The method comprises the following steps: determining the IP (Internet Protocol) address of an RNC (Radio Network Controller) and the IP address of a base station; determining a one-way transmission channel between the RNC and the base station and the direction of the one-way transmission channel according to the IP address of the RNC and the IP address of the base station; and performing cyclic redundancy check on the FP (Frame Protocol) head of data in the one-way transmission channel according to the direction of the one-way transmission channel to determine whether the one-way transmission channel is the common channel or not. By adopting the method and the equipment, the common channel can be determined conveniently, and the efficiency of network operation and maintenance supervision is increased.
