Abstract

The invention provides a firmware upgrading method and apparatus of an active capacitive stylus. The method comprises: a capacitive touch screen sending an upgrading command; the active capacitive stylus receiving and parsing the upgrading command, and feeding an acknowledgement signal back to the capacitive touch screen; the capacitive touch screen sending firmware data for upgrading; the active capacitive stylus receiving the firmware data, and after verification is passed, feeding an acknowledgement signal back to the capacitive touch screen; and the active capacitive stylus performing firmware upgrading with the verified firmware data, wherein the active capacitive stylus has a receiving unit and a sending unit that can separately form a coupling capacitor with the capacitive touch screen; the upgrading command and the firmware data for upgrading sent by the capacitive touch screen are received by the the active capacitive stylus in a capacitive coupling way by using the coupling capacitor formed by the receiving unit and the capacitive touch screen; and the active capacitive stylus feeds the corresponding acknowledgement signal back to the capacitive touch screen in the capacitive coupling way by using the coupling capacitor formed by the sending unit and the capacitive touch screen.
