The method of period allocation for a medium to be utilized by a first wireless communication device comprising at least one wireless local area network (WLAN) module includes while the first wireless communication device occupies the medium, detecting a termination period of a Network Allocation Vector (NAV) of the medium; and the first wireless communication device extending the termination period of the NAV of the medium if the termination period of the NAV is earlier than an expected period.
