The method for distributing the virtual resource comprises the steps that the quantity of operations of a target task in a current unit period is acquired; distribution parameters of the virtual resource corresponding to the operation quantity are calculated, wherein the distribution parameters of the virtual resource comprise the distribution quantity of the virtual resource and / or distribution probability of the virtual resource, and the distribution parameters of the virtual resource have a negative correlation with the operation quantity of the target task in the unit period; and according to the calculated distribution parameters, the virtual resource can be distributed for a client side which completes the target task. The method and device have the advantages that the problem of economic system disordering of application programs caused by the prior art is solved; and the virtual resource can be dynamically distributed for the client side which completes the target task according to the operation quantity of the target task in the current unit period, and thus economic system balancing of the target task can be ensured.
