The setting method comprises following steps: starting a function key position setting program; obtaining operation points in the ranges of to-be-set function key icons; controlling the to-be-set function key icons to move following the movement tracks of the operation points; and determining the final positions of the tracks of the operation points as the set positions of the function key icons. Compared with the prior art, according to the mobile terminal and the function key position dynamic setting method thereof provided by the invention, a user can customize the function keys at any positions in a customization area according to personal use habits; for example, the user can change the distances and relative positions among the function keys according to the sizes of the own hands; the user experience can be greatly improved; the user can use the function keys more conveniently; the user acceptability of the product is further increased; and the application group of the product is expanded.
