Abstract

The invention provides a packet data transmission method and system in a wireless network. The method comprises establishing precoding matrixes, carrying out length extension on packet data, then sending the packet data to channels for transmission, and restoring the packet data by use of a normalized BOMP algorithm at a receiving end. The precoding matrixes established by the method and the system have the advantages that enough precoding matrixes can be generated for multiple user connections; compared with randomly generated precoding matrixes, through adoption of the precoding matrixes established by the method and the system, the better signal restoring accuracy can be obtained; the transmission complexity of the packet data can be reduced; and the pre-coded symbols have statistically good PAPR (peak to average power ratio) characteristics.
