Abstract

The invention discloses a heating system for an electric vehicle and a control method of the heating system. A single-combustion module, a water pump, a control module and a battery heating module or a passage compartment heating module of the heating system sequentially form a circulating loop through pipelines. The control module comprises a control valve and a controller. The battery heating module comprises a first heating unit, a battery pack and a first temperature sensor. The passage compartment heating module comprises a second heating unit and a second temperature sensor. The single-combustion module has a first temperature gear and a second temperature gear. The first temperature gear is used for the battery heating module, and the second temperature gear is used for the passage compartment heating module. The control module controls the single-combustion module to automatically switch the temperature gears and controls the control valve to automatically switch the heating modules according to signals of the first temperature sensor. The control method includes the step of controlling the single-combustion module and the heating modules according to the temperature signals through the controller. The power battery pack can be heated, the proper temperature of a passage compartment can be ensured, and the driving range of the electric vehicle is not influenced.
