Abstract

The invention relates to an application of DFMO (difluoromethylomithine) or DFMO and ginger extract combination in preparation of drugs for prevention and treatment of esophagus cancer and liver cancer and verifies that the DFMO or the DFMO and ginger extract combination has remarkable prevention and treatment effects on the esophagus cancer and the liver cancer on a PDX (patient derived xenograft) model. The DFMO or the DFMO and ginger extract combination is adopted to treat tumor-bearing mice, and when the tumor volume of a control group is up to 1,500 cubic millimeters or higher and an experiment is ended, the tumor volume of a mouse of a combined drug treatment group has remarkable statistic difference compared with that of the control group, so that the experiment indicates that the DFMO or the DFMO and ginger extract combination drugs can realize the remarkable prevention and treatment effects on the esophagus cancer and the liver cancer; the esophagus cancer and the liver cancer can be prevented and treated clinically through administration of the DFMO and ginger extract combination drugs to a patient.
