The display panel further comprises N pixel units of different colors wherein N represents a positive integer larger than two; a gate scanning circuit for scanning each pixel row one by one according to a preset scanning order; and a driving chip for charging the pixel units in the pixel rows in a scanning state. For any pixel row in a scanning state, the pixel units of the same color are charged at the same time while pixel units of different colors are charged in different periods. For any two adjacent pixel rows according to the scanning order, the color of the last charged pixel unit in the previous pixel row is identical to the color of the first charged pixel unit in the next pixel row. For any N pixel rows according to the scanning order, the color of the last charged pixel unit in each pixel row is different from those in others. According to the invention, the power consumed for display panel driving is reduced while the display quality is increased.
