The additive is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 45 to 75 percent of kaolin, 10 to 25 percent of quartz sand, 10 to 20 percent of magnesite, and 0 to 10 percent of zeolite. The method for applying the additive to Zhundong coal combustion comprises the following specific steps: uniformly mixing the additive and Zhundong coal in advance; then performing combustion.
