Abstract

The invention discloses an improved spreader and a use thereof. The spreader assembly comprises: a spreader having container engagement devices for engaging and disengaging a container; and a lid engagement device mounted to the spreader, said lid engagement device comprises at least one actuator for positioning a lid engagement frame proximate to a lid of a container, wherein said lid engagement frame includes an adhesion device arranged to adhere to said lid on application of an external force to permit the actuator to move said lid relative to the container.
