Abstract

The invention proposes an address pool's distribution method and a device, wherein the method comprises: when a request message from a managed device for requesting the distribution of an address pool is received, decoding the request message to obtain the IP addresses corresponding to the managed devices; determining whether there exists a second address field corresponding to the IP address in at least one first address field recorded in a preset address pool; and when there exists a second address field corresponding to the IP addresses, distributing the second address field to the managed devices corresponding to the IP addresses. According to the embodiments of the invention, a managing device distributes address fields to the managed devices based on the IP addresses of the managed devices, so that different IP addresses correspond to different address fields. Therefore, it is possible to effectively avoid the collision of the address fields corresponding to the managed devices.
