Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus and computer programs for traffic steering. In particular, a method for directing traffic from a second mobile network operated by a second network operator is provided at a first service provisioning network operated by a first network operator. The method includes obtaining traffic steering information for traffic from the second mobile network and generating a traffic steering policy for traffic from the second mobile network based at least on the traffic steering information. The method also includes notifying a traffic controller of the first serving provisioning network of the traffic steering policy such that the traffic controller directs traffic from the second mobile network based on the traffic steering policy. Another method for facilitating the directing of traffic from a mobile network operated by a second network operator within a service provisioning network operated by a first network operator is provided. The method includes generating traffic steering information based at least on demand from the mobile network and providing the traffic steering information to the service provisioning network for use in generating traffic steering policies for traffic from the mobile network.
